The Yagendoo System Plugin contains from version 3.0.5 a new compression for CSS & JS files, as well as the option to compress the HTML code of the frontend output. All locally loaded files are merged and compressed to one CSS and one JS file respectively. Files located outside the Joomla! header or on external servers are excluded and continue to be loaded independently.
This process results in a smaller file size and a cleaner <head> area. Both factors lead to a better loading speed and rating of the website on analysis pages such as "Google Pagespeed Insights".
For over 5 years the Yagendoo Joomla! templates have been based on a so-called response hybrid solution. So there was an own template with own layouts, which was only loaded for mobile devices. But this is now changing. All Yagendoo Joomla! templates are now available in a new version and completely responsive! That means, the views of the templates adapt themselves immediately to the device, with which the website is visited.
All new members of the Yagendoo Community don't have to pay attention to anything. After installing a fresh Quickstart package or a template on an existing website, everything is already done. The new functions are immediately ready for use.
The technical development of our Joomla! templates has made a large progress in the past months. For this reason we are able to provide you a new version of our templates today.
Since this version includes basic changes, there are some aspects that have to be taken care of before the installation. Therefore please read the entire blog post carefully to prevent possible conflicts and problems.
As you already may have noticed it has been very quiet in the social media channels of the Yagendoo Media GmbH in the past. We have consciously decided to withdraw ourselves in order to finish a couple of internal restructurings. In this course we have analysed and optimized our own website. Thereby we acted true to the motto "Less is more", reduced and optimized different areas to provide you a clear and easy to understand website.
The implementation of a new forum, revising the category and product pages, the optimization of the order process, the improvement of the account views and many other parts count to these improvements!
